Atlantic Regional
Gathering
We're looking forward to a great time of gathering and worship together November 3-4 at St. Croix Vineyard, in St. Stephen, NB.
Our theme is Anchored With Wings: Bringing justice, beauty and compassion into our neighbourhoods. We will be hearing from several Atlantic churches about what God has been doing and how we have seen him moving among us. We also have three fantastic speakers lined up.
Session 1 on Friday evening : Dr. David Moore, Author of Making America Great Again: Fairy Tale? Horror Story? Dream Come True?
This book deals with issues of race and privilege in Christian societies. It is available on Amazon, or through Peter Fitch at St Croix Vineyard, who has made a number of books available to individuals or churches, before the conference, for $20. Please contact Peter at pfitch7@gmail.com to request a copy of Making America Great Again, or order one on Amazon. If you can read the book ahead of the conference, that would be marvellous! Perhaps even purchase one and share it around! More information about David Moore can be found if you go to Guest Faculty at www.irpj.org.
Session 2, on Saturday morning, will be with our very own Dr. Peter Fitch. Pete's message is "Imagining a Non-exclusive Christian Vision". He is author of the book, Learning to Interpret Toward Love: Actually Embracing People of Different Sexuality ( in the kind of churches where they haven't been), and his most recent book is Life at the Museum: Relevant Wisdom from Church History.
Check out these books with either Peter or Amazon.
Session 3 will be a wrap-up and message by our well known and loved David Ruis, Director of the Canadian Vineyard!
Please note that there will be a youth lunch with David Moore, on the Saturday, and an amazing children's program directed by Joy Greene, the Children's Pastor at St. Croix Vineyard.
